ASB Report August 2019
Troy Brogan
Renaissance/Link Crew Coordinator
September 5th, 2019
Position Assessment: Lydia and I have actually been really busy recently since early August before school even started. Let me just say this: she is a superstar. She is a great help and is always on top of everything. Not too long ago, we had Freshman Orientation with Link Crew. Last week was Renaissance and Block R signups. Starting today or tomorrow I am going to start writing the cards. It’s going to be so hectic and crazy. Hopefully we can stay organized and not get too mixed up.
Standing Committee: I am apart of the Renaissance/Link Crew Standing Committee. We are just about to start making the first quarter Renaissance Cards and Block R’s. It will be really nice to have our committee to help us, because there are a lot. Our goals are to hand out Renaissance benefits to students that work hard in the classroom.
Special Committee: The only Special Committee I was a part of this last month was the BBQ at lunch. Nico and I helped Kassidy set up the ice chests with drinks and ice.
Concern: One concern I have for the class is that sometimes I feel like we wait too long before everyone quiets down. In order to be more productive people need to be more attentive.
Positive Comment: My positive comment is for Evan Johnson. My dude is always on the grind and never fails to help out. I have known him pretty much my whole life and it has been crazy to see him grow as a leader. He deserves more recognition in our class.
Change: One change I would like to see is better examples from leadership students at the school. For example, the Back to School Dance was way out of control. It should be us telling the dummies to knock it off and behave.
Impact: The impact I have made on campus amongst my peers is with the underclassmen. Now that I’m a senior, I am an elder of Ripon High School. Because of football and Link Crew, I know that I have younger students that watch me as well so I want to set a good example.

Position Assessment: Lydia and I have been really busy in the first quarter. Not too long ago, we completely finished handing out Renaissance Cards and 2 weeks ago we finished Block R’s. Next week is Renaissance and Block R signups. In December we have the Study Buddy Night and most likely a Hot Chocolate Social.
Standing Committee: I am apart of the Renaissance/Link Crew Standing Committee. We are just about to start the second quarter Renaissance Cards and Block R’s applications. It will be really nice to have our committee to help us, because there are a lot. Our goals are to hand out Renaissance benefits to students that work hard in the classroom.
Special Committee: The Special Committees that I am a part of are the Beautiful Movement and the Tri Tip BBQ. We wanted people to feel loved and needed at RHS for the gratitude video. For Tri Tip we were supposed to work as a team.
Concern: One concern I have for the class is that sometimes I feel like we wait too long before everyone quiets down. In order to be more productive people need to be more attentive.
Positive Comment: My positive comment is for Caryssa McKeon. My girl is a real dawg and a great friend. I have known her pretty much my whole life and is a super positive leader. She deserves more recognition in our class.
Change: One change I would like to see is better communication between the leadership class. There has been some unnecessary tension between the students and it kills the mood.
Impact: The impact I have made on campus amongst my peers is with the underclassmen. Now that I’m a senior, I am an elder of Ripon High School. Because of football and Link Crew, I know that I have younger students that watch me as well so I want to set a good example.

Position Assessment: Lydia and I have been really busy in the last few months of the semester. Not too long ago, we completely finished handing out Renaissance Cards and Block R’s for the second quarter. The Finals Pass is going to be a success I can already tell. Last week was the Hot Chocolate Social during the night rally. That went really well, but we definitely over shot the number of students and we had way too much extra cocoa and marshmallows. This week is Link Crew Study Buddy Nights. We have all the snacks and hopefully enough teachers show up.
Standing Committee: I am apart of the Renaissance/Link Crew Standing Committee. We are finished with the second quarter Renaissance Cards and Block R’s applications. Lydia did an awesome job helping me out with all the applications and cards. Our goals are to hand out Renaissance benefits to students that work hard in the classroom.
Special Committee: The Special Committees that I am a part of are the Door Decorations and CASL essay. We wanted teachers to feel loved and needed at RHS with the decorations. For CASL we each did a small part in a big project about our program and worked as a team.
Concern: One concern I have for the class is that sometimes I feel like we wait too long before everyone quiets down. In order to be more productive people need to be more attentive.
Positive Comment: My positive comment is for Lydia Waters again. She is the best assistant and a great communicator. I haven’t known her for that long but I can tell you that she's going to be a great leader. She deserves more recognition in our class.
Change: One change I would like to see is better communication between the leadership class. Morty gets stressed out because of it when it really is just a simple fix.
Impact: The impact I have made on campus amongst my peers is with the underclassmen. Now that I’m a senior, I am an elder of Ripon High School. Because of football and playing with young guys, I know that I have a big impact on the community with the young kids as well. Parents come up to me all the time and thank me for setting a good example.

Position Assessment: Lydia and I have been really busy in the first couple months of the semester. Recently we finished writing all the Renaissance cards with the Block R’s, but now our next step is to pass them out to all the students. Soon we will have the In-N-Out Luncheon for the 4.0 Gold Card students at the end of March and coming up fast in the 8th Grade Welcome Day. I am excited to see how the new Link Crew Leaders (we also just had Link Crew Interviews) handle the incoming students.
Standing Committee: I am a part of the Renaissance/Link Crew Standing Committee. We are almost finished with the third quarter Renaissance Cards and Block R’s applications. Lydia did an awesome job helping me out with all the applications and cards. Our goals are to hand out Renaissance benefits to students that work hard in the classroom.
Special Committee: The Special Committees that I am a part of are the Valentines Hearts and the Winter Fest Window for my class. Gracie and I were partners for the hearts and we finished ours really early and just put them up this morning. I also helped my senior class decorate our first place window for Winter Fest.
Concern: One concern I have for the class is the amount of students who quit on leadership and don’t want anything to do with it already. We need to be able to finish the year as “one”.
Positive Comment: My positive comment is for Lydia Waters again. She is the best assistant and a great communicator, especially as an organizer. She has very creative ideas for Renaissance and ways to pass them out that are more effective and efficient. I haven’t known her for that long but I can tell you that she's going to be a great leader. She deserves more recognition in our class.
Change: One change I would like to see is more students moving around when Morty says to move at the beginning of class. It is really pointless for Morty to get mad at us over something that simple.
Impact: The impact I have made on campus amongst my peers is with the underclassmen. Now that I’m a senior, I am an elder of Ripon High School. Younger kids look up to me as I am now a basketball player, State Champion, and an All-State player.
